Meal Planning & Intuitive Eating

January 06, 2025

Do you want to meal plan more in 2025?

I'll be honest, I hate meal planning. It always feels like a big decision that I have to make at the beginning of the week, which is a lot of pressure. In the moment, it feel easier to put it off for another day. However, this means that every day I'm stuck looking in the fridge asking myself "what are we going to eat tonight?"

It's funny, while I struggle to meal plan for myself (I have no problem doing this for clients), when I do make a plan for the week, I actually feel like I have my sh*t together. It truly makes weekday meals easier. Yes, it's a big decision at the beginning of the week, but it reduces how many decisions I need to make during the week. When we have a plan, I can start prepping as soon as the kids are home and eating their after-school snack. This means dinner is on the table earlier. It also allows myself and my husband to look at the week and think about what extracurriculars we have going on, when we need quick meals, and whether we need to make enough for leftovers.

While I don't love it, it's my personal goal in 2025 to meal plan more frequently and set myself up for success.

How can you meal plan and eat intuitively?

Many people assume that Intuitive Eating means that you eat what you want when you want with no real plan or structure to your day. In my life, with two kids and a husband with Celiac, things run a lot smoother when there is an actual plan. That way we have the groceries we need to make the meals that we want to eat.

Want to know how to meal plan while also practicing Intuitive Eating? Grab my FREE Meal Planner by filling in the form below. The PDF will be sent directly to your Inbox so you can get started right away.
